Antigua Airport : V.C. Bird International Airport is important among the Airports in Antigua and Barbuda and is situated on the northeast fringe of Antigua. It is the airport of entry to Antigua & Barbuda. There are North America direct flights and connections via St. Martin and San Juan and and many weekly flights from Europe. Scheduled and charter service is available to many neighboring islands.

Taxis are there throughout Antigua. Fares to airport, harbor and many hotels and destinations are fixed. Taxi drivers are also qualified as tour guides so that u can go in for sightseeing.
There are international and local companies. You can also rent a car for US$40-50 per day. A permit to drive in Antigua is a must. The rental agency will assist you in getting this temporary license, costing about US$20 and valid for three months.
Airports in Antigua and Barbuda : The VC Bird International Airport is 8 km northeast of St John's. The airport is in the north of island, a nice 10-minute drive from St John’s.

It can be reached via Antigua Sugar Factory Road or Old Parham Road onto the Airport Road.
Long-term and short-term parking is available in front of terminal building.
There is no public transport to/from the airport.
There is a information desk on the ground (public) side of the terminal.
Airport Facilities include a 24-hour ATM, a post office and a bureau de change. There is also a restaurant and a bar. There are shops, including duty-free shops. A porter service is available and tipping is the norm.
While there is a VIP lounge with newspapers, magazines, TV and restaurant service, there are no business or conference facilities on the airport site
A lift, ramps and first aid are at the airport and wheelchairs too are available. Disabled passengers can be assisted by individual airlines, passengers rneeding wheelchairs and assistance may please inform their airline prior to travel.
