Airports in Nigeria

The Airports in Nigeria include a huge number of both domestic as well as international airports. Nigeria is one of the most well known countries in Africa and is situated in the western part of the continent. The coast of the country is beside the Gulf of Guinea as well as on the Atlantic Ocean. The capital city of th country is Abuja. The country of Nigeria is well known for its extensive history. According to some archaeological evidence the place was habited by human beings even in 9000 BC.

The country also said to be the original home land for the Bantu migrants who on the later part spread across many parts of central as well as southern parts of Africa. The country is also the most populous country in Africa. To view this historically rich and geographically diverse country every year a lot of tourists come to the country of Nigeria and a large section of them arrive at any of the international Airports in Nigeria and later travel around the country through the domestic Airports in Nigeria.

There are also a lot of domestic Airports in Nigeria. The domestic   Airports in Nigeria includes Ajaokuta Airport situated at Ajaokuta, Akure Airport situated in Akure, Bauchi Airport situated in Bauchi, Yakubu Gowon Airport situated in Jos, Imo Airport or Sam Mbakwe Airport that situated in Owerri etc. Apart from these airports there are a lot of unpaved airstrips in Nigeria as well. There is also several military Airports in Nigeria among which the Makurdi Air Force Base in Makurdi is well known. These Airports in Nigeria hugely contribute to the transportation system of the country of Nigeria. The Tourists from across the world who come to the country of Nigeria depends largely on the airports as most of the international tourists in the recent times travel by the airways.
