Aerolineas Argentinas is one of the major airlines of Argentina. After the World War II, the airlines merged in order to provide better commercial services to the society. In the initial years the airline faced difficulty as there were not much airport facilities that only made the service suffer.


There were few people who were instrumental in making the airline a success. Alfonso Aliaga García and Dirk Wessel Van Layden were very instrumental in making the airline a success. The aircraft models of the Aerolineas Argentinas were the DC-3 and the Douglas DC-4. The government in order to make the airline function much better, organized the Ministro Pistarini International Airport into a better and modernized airport.
