It was following the downfall of Ansett airlines, that Regional Express occupied the vacuum in the Australian aviation industry, to become one of the key players in the domestic arena of the country. It was in the year 2005, that Regional Express expanded its business by the ac1quisition of Dubbo based Air Link airlines. October 2007 was another landmark year for the airline company. It was in this year, that Rex started its flights between Brisbane and Maryborough.

Regional Express offers mainly three segments of flying for its passengers, Economy Class, First Class and Executive Class.
