JetBlue Airways is a low cost airline which offers services in the United States of America. It is owned by JetBlue Airways Corporation. It is a non-union airline. This airline company was founded in the year 1998. The focus cities of JetBlue Airways are John F. Kennedy International Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport, Long Beach Airport, Oakland International Airport, Logan International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. 

JetBlue Airways has a corporate office at in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. It also has a satellite office which is located at Darien, Connecticut.

The company was founded in February in the year 1999. It was previously known as “New Air”. David Neeleman was the founder of the company. He was the also the CEO and Chairman of the company. The main motive of starting this airline was to provide a low cost travel to the customers. In addition to low cost, the amenities offered by the airline company have made it unique. The in flight entertainment is provided to the customers. In Neeleman's words the primary objective of the airline company is “to bring humanity back to air travel”.

The countries which are included within the list are the Bahamas, Bermuda, Aruba, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Netherlands Antilles, and the United States. It also include Puerto Rico. The company has recently added another destination to its list, St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. The services to this destination will start from January 17, 2008. 

In the year 2006, the airline company has launched services to places such as Bermuda, Raleigh, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Nashville, and Aruba. During this time it also received the authority to serve Cancún in Mexico. 

Other destinations covered by JetBlue Airways are California, Florida, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Pennsylvania and Colombia.

The company has entered code share agreement with Cape Air. It carries the JetBlue passengers from Boston's Logan Airport to the destination of Cape Air. It covers Cape Cod and its adjoining islands.
