Founded in the 1st of February, 1977 by Joseph T. Sparling and Thomas Wood Air North is one of the first ranked airlines services in Yukon, Canada with scheduled passenger services to a lot of prized destinations. The Air North Yukon's Airlines has the headquarter at Whitehorse in Yukon. Being the largest Airline in Yukon, Air North provides scheduled domestic air services along with jet equipment all throughout the year. The Air North Airlines houses over 200 people at the headquarters in Yukon and over 60 people in the other headquarters situated in Vancouver.

This was continued till the late 1990s' when a Beechcraft Model 99 and three Hawker Siddeley 748 2A were introduced in the fleet. In 2002 two Boeing 737 Models were introduced and the Beechcraft Model was replaced by a fourth HS748 in the year 2006. Soon the Boeing was introduced in the scheduled passenger service the area under the Air North organization increased including the old Hawker Hangar and cargo area along with a new 737 Hangar.
