It was renamed as Carpatair when Swedish along with Swiss investors took 49 percent of stake in this company. Rimanian shareholders is the owner of this particular airlines of Romania, along with the Swedish and Swiss shareholders. Chief Executive and President of current time of Carpatair is Nicolae Petrov.

One of the main reasons for its abundant success is the fact that it is the first airline, which operates flights to international destinations from the region of Transylvania. Another fact is that it has not faced sufficient competition from other airlines in this sector. It is into constant growth process and in present time, it is the second largest of all Romanian Airlines. It has ticketing agreements with Lufthansa, KLM and Air France.
