| Historical records of Cameroon Airlines: Established on July 26th , 1971, the first operations of Cameroon Airlines began from the month of November of that year itself. It was previously owned by the government of Cameroon and Air France, the leading airline company in France. However the company suffered tremendous loss and ill repute when it was banned by the civil aviation authority of France to run flights. Although the French authority banned it for safety reasons, it was thought by the Cameroon government to be a malicious plot against Cameroon Airlines in order to bankrupt the company.
