History of Tassili Airlines
Tassili Airlines, one of the major airlines of Algeria was founded in the yyear 1997. However the proper functioning began from 8th April, 1999 with its maiden flight from hassi Messaoud to Algeria. In the initial phase, Tassili Airlines was a collaboration between Sonatrach which owned 51% of its share and Air Algerie with the remaining 49% of the share. From May 2005, Air Algerie ceased to be one of the owners of Tassili Airlines as it sold all its share to Sonatrach.
