The flight controls are fly -by -wire which has linkages to the side-sticks. There are eight 15/20 LCDs in the cockpit. These are two Multi-Function Displays, a system display, double navigation display, a display of engine parameter and two primary flight displays.

The development of Airbus A 380 started in 1990s, with the name Megaliner. The first flight of A380 took place from Toulouse in France. The A380, with registration F-WWOW and serial number of 001 was unveiled on 18th January 2005. It first flew on 27th April, 2005 from Toulouse Blagnac International Airport. The airliner was powered with Trent 900 engines. Jacques Rosay was the test pilot.Singapore Airlines is geared to fly Airbus A 380.
